Merlin:
This is the voice of Merlin. Listen well, for it concerns you. This chronicle commences in the year 2084 A.D. Mankind has virtually destroyed itself. Its survival depends on The Final Experiment .
Scientists from the 21st century have developed a new computer-program called Time Telepathy . By using this technique they have sent visions of humanities decline back in time. These transmissions have been received by the mind of a blind minstrel who lives in 6th century Great Britain. His name.... is \"Ayreon\".

Merlin:
It shall be Ayreon s quest to sing of these visions and thus warn the world of its impending downfall in order to change its future into a long and prosperous one. Let us go back to \"the Dark Ages\".
The Awareness
(a) Premonition
A strange sensation comes over Ayreon, as if something mysterious is about to occur.
(b) Dreamtime (Words Become a Song)
Suddenly a vision emerges in Ayreon s ever-black world and he finds himself singing about the horrid projections etched into his brain.

Abruptly the vision ends and Ayreon recedes into his darkness.

It slowly dawns on Ayreon that these visions he is experiencing are visions of the future. But he does not fully comprehend their importance yet.

The townspeople gather on the market square to judge of Ayreon. Is he a prophet or a charlatan, or even worse: an apparition most unholy?
(c) The Accusation
The villagers accuse Ayreon of being the devil s spawn, but Ayreon persists in his innocence.

With sticks and torches in hand, the angry villagers drive Ayreon out of their demesne.

Completely exhausted Ayreon roams through the forest, only an indistinct sense of unaccomplishment sustains him.

If I m alive, I cannot break this gruesome spell
I am seeking relief and finding none

A force within dominates my tormented soul

To entertain the court, Ayreon makes up a song about the brave Knights of the Round Table and their journey to the isle of Avalon in search of the Holy Grail.

Nature s Dance
Ayreon retires in the garden of dreams surrounding Camelot, enjoys the wonders of nature and reflects on his fate. He now fully understands, and reluctantly submits to his destiny.

I let the dance of nature

From apparitions

Ayreon describes a distant future in which technology triumphs over passion, and \"serving\" computers will gradually gain control over mankind.
Ayreon:

I see a world where kings nor queens

Ayreon sings of the uselessness of the countless wars to come, and the absurdity of the final annihilation by the push of just one button by just one man.
Ayreon:

Ayreon warns the people that if man does not mend his ways, man will contaminate the skies, so there will be no more air to breathe, he will poison the seas, so there will be no more water to drink and he will pollute the land, so there will be no more food to live on.
Ayreon:
All the trees have fallen
The soil is scorched and dry
I can t respire
A storm of fire
Is raging in the sky
Where is all the wildlife
Extinct from pole to pole
The hunt for skin
A deadly sin
Took its heavy toll

Merlin s Will
Merlin, who is unaffected by -and therefore ignorant of the \"Time Telepathy\" experiment, assumes that Ayreon s prophecies are deceptive, and so Ayreon must be silenced. Or could there be an undertone of envy in his words?
Merlin:
Ayreon, don t you know who I am
Ayreon, I ll have you know that I can
Charm you with a wave of my hand
You bow to my command
Ayreon, you re an evil stranger
Ayreon, you ve become a danger

The Charm of the Seer
Ayreon understands that he was not individually chosen for the \"time telepathy experiment\", but that he unintentionally received its transmissions. This could be because of a more developed sixth sense as a result of his blindness. He also realises that he can neither accomplish his mission, nor stop the visions from penetrating his mind. His sole escape is to submit to the magic charm of the great seer Merlin.
Ayreon:
I ve been lost in the valley of nightmares
I ve been found in the garden of dreams
Speak thy charm; I know you are out there
Cast thy spell and silence the screams
But as I poise on the edge of life

Merlin grants Ayreon his last request: to experience one last brief moment of serenity. Flashes of his past life pass before his eyes.

Ayreon desperately attempts to convince Merlin of his sincerity, but Merlin won t hear of it and casts his spell on poor Ayreon.
Ayreon:
Misguided Merlin
You fail to understand

For the purpose of survival
Merlin:
Ayreon, I ve cast my spell on you
I have no faith, you cannot be true
Ayreon!
Ayreon:
I forgive you Merlin
For you don t know what you ve done
Even for you, it was all a mystery

Who could change the course of history
Merlin:
Ayreon, your words are all in vain
Close your eyes, there ll be no more pain

(b) Merlin s Prophecy
Merlin is stricken with grief for he has had a vision that proves Ayreon to be genuine. Reluctant to pass into eternity as the martyr of mankind, Merlin vows that Ayreon s word will be spread in the 20th century, in the hope that it will not be too late and that man will heed his premonitions.
Merlin:
I see one day
His story will be told
At the end of the 20th century
I see one day
The truth will unfold
And the quest has now begun
Oh Ayreon!

That man will understand
It s in his power to change his destiny

технологиите, които бележат развитието ни – още първото официално заглавие в дискографията им
от 1994 година се казва „Goodbye to the Age of Steam“, или „Сбогом на епохата на парните
машини“. В техните текстове намират място английската компания за електрически двигатели и
трансформатори „English Electric“ (два албума носят нейното заглавие), прокарването с първия
водолаз на жп тунела „Севърн“ под устието на река Севърн през 1879 година, изграждането на
трансокеански лайнери в корабостроителницата „Суон Хънтър“, качваме се на най-бързия парен
локомотив „Мелърд“, или „Зеленоглавата патица“, с немислимата за 1938 година скорост от 202
км/ч, световен рекорд за времето си, напускаме Слънчевата система с автоматичните космически
апарати “Voyager”, ставаме свидетели на полагането на първите телеграфни кабели през
Атлантическия океан през ХIХ век и т.н.
Затова сме изненадани от тематиката на най-новия им албум „WOODCUT“, или
„ДЪРВОГРАВЮРА“, издаден на 6 февруари 2026 г. По време на турне в Норвегия музикантите
GREGORY SPAWTON, лидер на групата и бас китарист, и ALBERTO BRAVIN, певец, посещават в
Осло музея на световноизвестния норвежки художник експресионист и автор на гравюри Edvard
Munch, смятан за един от най-значимите модернисти в историята на изкуството.
Впечатлени от изложбата на дървогравюри, те откриват метафората за издълбаване на негативи,
които създават финално изображение, и веднага виждат потенциала му като заглавие и история на
албума.
Така те разработват повествованието за депресиран художник, който работи в областта на
дървогравюрата и печата с мастило. По този начин той се справя с болката, за да стигне до
наградата от съзиданието докато работи. BIG BIG TRAIN използват процеса на гравиране върху

„Този път решихме да направим истински концептуален албум. Има история, която се развива от
началото до края на албума, а главният герой е художник, който създава произведение на
изкуството. Той е толкова погълнат от работата си и от начина, по който реже някакво парче дърво
и създава нов свят, и който вече не може да разбере дали е реалност или всъщност е част от
творението си. Така че е доста интересно, защото можех да видя, можех да си представя всичко
това, докато всъщност записвам вокали или мисля за целия албум като съдържание. Този художник
всъщност може да бъде музикант, създаващ музиката, или всъщност и слушател.
Когато слушате нещо през слушалките си или вашето добро Hi-Fi устройство, вие навлизате в
нещо като друго измерение, когато слушате нещо, което толкова много обичате и ви харесва
толкова много. Така че това е като паралелна история, с която всъщност всеки може да се свърже.
Всичко започна съвсем случайно. Една сутрин бяхме на турне в Европа, в Осло, Норвегия. Аз и
GREG винаги се събуждаме доста рано. Така че обичаме да проверяваме дали има нещо интересно
в градовете, където свирим. Имахме свободна сутрин, затова си казахме: „Добре, нека отидем в
музея на Munch“.

Всички знаят за „Викът“, това е най-известната му картина. Но всъщност той беше художник,
който правеше много различни неща, използваше разнообразни техники, и ние докато се
разхождахме из музея, попаднахме на неговите дървогравюри. Честно казано, не знаех какво е
дървогравюра. Не знаех, че това е името на техниката. Видяхме „Дървогравюра“, написана в
описанието на произведение на изкуството. Аз и GREG просто се спогледахме и казахме: „О, това
е заглавие на албум. Това е страхотно.“ За дървогравюрата трябва да изрежете негатива, за да
получите позитива, когато го натиснете върху хартия. Веднага се влюбихме в историята, в идеята и
в това колко всъщност можем да напишем за историята, но и за музиката.
По това време нямахме музика, нямахме история, нямахме нищо. Държахме тази идея в главите си
може би онзи ден, няколко дни, не знам. Но след това я споделихме, споделихме я с всички
останали от групата. И те казаха: „О, това е наистина интересно“. Така че идеята за истински
концептуален албум се роди точно в този, в този конкретен момент.
Албума ще го усетите като една дълга песен, а не като несвързани части – така е. Абсолютно. Това
беше намерението ни. Разбира се, че има глави или можете да ги наречете песни, защото са
единични песни или музикално произведение. Но всички песни трябваше да бъдат свързани и
обвързани по начин, по който просто можеш да прегърнеш тази сила на музиката на един дъх. Това
беше идеята“ – завършва ALBERTO BRAVIN.

привлечени от идеята за изкуството на дървогравюрата, защото се усеща истинско и солидно. А
ние сме точно такава група от 70-те години на миналия век, свирим на своите инструменти на
живо, всичко в нашия септет е доста старомодно“ – заявява GREG SPAWTON.

На 20 април т.г. в София ще гостува джаз китаристът BILL FRISELL, носител на наградата
“Grammy”, и по този повод решихме да представим неговия най-нов албум „IN MY DREAMS“ („В
МОИТЕ СЪНИЩА“), издаден на 27 февруари 2026 г.
Албумът е вдъхновен от сън, който FRISELL е имал преди време, ето какво споделя: „Влизам в
затъмнена сграда, прекосявам стълбище и се озовавам в спираща дъха библиотека, оградена от
купчини подвързани с кожа томове и антики. В центъра на стаята има маса, а около нея бяха
седнали няколко монашески фигури с качулки. В началото те изглеждаха внушителни, но бързо се
разкриха като топли и приветливи. „Искаме да ви покажем какви са нещата всъщност“, казват те.
„Първо, бихме искали да ви покажем как наистина изглеждат цветовете.“
FRISELL продължава: „И така, те отварят някаква малка кутия и изваждат малки блокчета.
Посочват едно и казват: „Ето как изглежда червеното.“ И това е най-интензивното, красиво
червено, което съм виждал. След това казват: „Знаем, че сте музикант, затова бихме искали да
чуете как звучи истинската музика.“ Чувствах се сякаш някаква тръба влизаше в челото ми и се
движеше, и това беше най-невероятният звук, който някога бях чувал. Nino Rota, Thelonious
Monk, Sonny Rollins, Charles Ives, Jimi Hendrix, Hank Williams, Andrés Segovia, Robert Johnson –
цялата тази музика, която обичам, но всички части бяха кристално ясни. И тогава се събудих.“
„IN MY DREAMS“ е петият албум на BILL FRISELL за фирмата Blue Note, и в него събира на едно
място две ключови линии в творчеството си – характерното звучене на джазовите му трио
формации (с RUDY ROYSTON на барабаните и THOMAS MORGAN на контрабаса) и камерната
му музика със струнно трио/квартет с трима от музикантите, с които работи още от началото на 90-
те – JENNY SCHEINMAN (цигулка), HANK ROBERTS (виолончело) и EYVIND KANG (виола).
BILL тръгва от идеята за концертен албум като използва записи на живо от различни
представления през 2025 г. в Бруклин, Денвър и Ню Хейвънс с финални щрихи от три
произведения, записани в студио.
В резултат албумът „В МОИТЕ СЪНИЩА“ звучи като цялостно произведение, достойно за
неговия 75-годишен юбилей, в което класически и съвсем нови негови пиеси естествено се
преплитат с американската класика – от христоматийни фолк песни от XIX век и американа до
джаза на Billy Strayhorn и Duke Ellington.
Албума „IN MY DREAMS“, или „В МОИТЕ СЪНИЩА“, ще чуем в предаването “Картини от една
изложба®
” на програма “Хоризонт” на БНР в събота, 18 април, след новините в 22 часа.

Музиката на МИРОСЛАВ ГОЧЕВ прозвуча в „Картини от една изложба“ преди няколко години за
първи път, това беше албумът „Край морето“ на “Music M. A. G. Project”, съвместно дело с Яница
Кънева. Той беше радушно приет от нашата аудитория и ето иде ред на третото заглавие в неговата
дискография, издадено към края на 2025 г.
Авторът ни разказва предисторията на албума „МЕНТАЛНО“ така:
„Отдавна исках да експериментирам с това да създавам музика с различни честоти. Още не бях
завършил втория си албум „Infinity”, когато започнах да мисля в тази посока. Усещал съм разлика
във вибрацията и въздействието на музикалната форма, създадена по този начин. Исках да се
предизвикам и да дам свобода на мисълта си. Започнах искрено да се интересувам от
въздействието на всяка честота над тялото и ума и така се появи „МЕНТАЛНО“.
Питаме го: А каква е концепцията на тази албум, ето какво отговаря МИРОСЛАВ:
„Албумът представлява концептуално музикално пътуване през девет честоти, които символично
отварят девет енергийни врати в човешкото съзнание. Всяка композиция е изградена около
конкретна вибрация и носи своето послание – от освобождаването на страха и връщането към
естествения поток на живота, до пробуждането на интуицията и светлината в човека.
Музиката съчетава електронни звукови пространства през синтезаторите и дълбоки атмосферни
пластове, които създават усещане за вътрешно пътуване. Честотата 432 Hz заема централно място
като символ на връзката между човека и природата – пулсът на Земята, който резонира със сърцето.
Балансът е изконна ценност.
Идеята на албума е не просто да бъде слушан, а преживян – като звукова медитация, която води
слушателя от материята към светлината, от ума към по-дълбокото усещане за хармония и
присъствие. Той е покана за пътуване навътре – към по-тихото пространство в нас, където умът се
успокоява, а съзнанието започва да чува по-дълбокия ритъм на живота“ – завършва МИРОСЛАВ

ЗА АВТОРА:
Мирослав Гочев е музикант от началото на 90-те години. Професионалният му път е свързан
с дълги години пътувания в чужбина с различни групи и формации. Има впечатляващ опит
като ръководител на групи за популярна музика.
През 2025 г. бе отличен с престижната награда «Кристална лира» в категория Звук и звуков
дизайн, присъдена от Съюза на българските музикални и танцови дейци.
През 2019 г. за първи път реализира авторската си музика с бенд и камерен оркестър с
диригент Ганчо Ганчев във Фестивален и Конгресен Център (ФКЦ) - Варна, зала 1. На
сцената вземат участие изявени варненски певци и танцьори. Екипът надвишава 50 души.
Концертът е заснет от БНТ – Варна и излъчван многократно в тяхната програма. Следват
концерти и през следващите три поредни години.
- през 2020 г. издава първия албум с авторска музика “By the sea”, който е представен с
внушителен концерт, наречен “Да послушаме вълните” в зала 1 на ФКЦ - Варна на живо с 30
музиканти на сцената.
- през 2021г се осъществява проектът „Яница Кънева и приятели за Варна“ ,
- в края на 2022 г. година реализира „Класика в бъдещето“
- през октомври 2023 г. се случе концертът „Есенно адажио в операта“, който се провежда на
сцената на Държавна опера – Варна.
Всички концерти са реализирани със surround звук на живо.
През 2024 година музиката му получи високата оценка на композитора Митко Щерев, който
разреши на Мирослав цялата му филмова музика да бъде използвана в предстоящите
концерти.
В края на 2025 г. завърши последния си албум «Ментално»
